As  an active member of the church.i have always protrayed myself to be a good christian...i am a member of the chorister, and i can never be found wanting in the gathering of bretheren.  sunday service has always be can't miss for me and my family but for me week days and mid week takes me to the peak. its about 17km from my house to the church  with traffic jamscaused by bad road and the unhealthy tricyclist.yesterday was sunday and we closed early by 11;25am,A woman with taste as my self.i would prefer to cruise a red 2017 Venza to match with my outfit, and the beautiful Hat which i wore and bought from Kontessa, but i only manage a 2007 Honda accord faded to the tyres which due to the harch economic situations that prevail. My car was stacked full with church members who was to drop all over my way home.so i had to take a different route home.just as i came out of masoje road, after dropping off the last person,A beautiful ,fair looking, well fed lady waved at me...

I kept wondering.....

Why would anyone feel that these three are lnsults. You dey Crase ! You dey Crase? Why you dey act like crase. Kindly tell me if its an insult

The problem of Expecting too Much..

Image
The first time I made cold calls to some prospects, I wired my brain to claim the right that people have an obligation to like me and be nice to me. Unfortunately it didn’t happen! I spoke to different kinds of people, the nice, the arrogant and even those that literally barked at me over the phone. That experience flashed reality right in my face.  We often expect people to like us , but well not everyone does. People rarely behave exactly the way you want them to. That is a fact we have to live with. You might feel unwanted and unworthy to one person, but you are priceless to another.  Don’t ever forget your worth. No matter how good you are to people, there will always be one negative person who criticizes you. We expect people to suddenly change : We often expect people to change all of a sudden. If there’s a specific behaviour someone you care about has that you’re hoping disappears over time, it probably won’t.  If you really nee...

My Maize Story....

The way some people consume fresh corn on the streets of nowadays is worrisome. Some eat while walking, others prefer to sit and eat…in the middle of the road. I’m always tempted to eat the corn with them take photos whenever i come across those wonderful scenes. Don’t get me wrong, corn is a good thing to eat, especially when neatly roasted and slowly ‘downloaded’ with fresh, sugar-coated, well sliced coconut…But to carelessly consume it and thrown around the maami barrack axis litered? I really don’t know… It’s probably fun for them maybe or better yet, it’s their choice. They obviously aren’t as half bothered about what I think about them. This post isn’t about eating corn or anything like that, but what we think about what other people think about us. People choose to clog their minds with what other people think about them and forget that nothing is more important than how you feel and think about yourself. When you always allow what people say or think about you to g...

Gratitude....

Image
Today, I heard someone say that “Gratitude turns what we have into enough”. That phraseology completely resonated with me. A marketing strategist, Charles E Gaudet, took it further when he said that even in business “If you want to show your # Customers  that you truly appreciate them, then taking time to craft a personalized message can go a long way.” Often times we forget to appreciate the things we have, the people we have around us. When a new day begins, we should dare to smile gratefully and start each day with a grateful heart. Here are a few things we often forget to be thankful for:  You are alive to see todayYou know someone who loves you.Your landlord hasn’t called yet to fume about his rentYour family and friendsThe Lastma official miraculously allowed you go even though you clearly disobeyed the traffic lightYou have access to clean drinking water. You have access to medical care. You can read/you have access to he internet What i...

RESPECT...

Respect I love fruits. I feel refreshed anytime I take fruits. Sometimes I take apples, other times I take oranges, pineapple or bananas – In no particular order really. A couple of days ago I stopped by a fruit shop on my way home, to buy bananas. The bunch that caught my eyes looked really attractive such that I had already pictured myself munching it down with fresh fried groundnuts, while catching up with Nigeria’s political drama on TV – perfect evening. I had looked to buy banana the day before but couldn’t find any. With a broad smile on my face and in Pidgin English I gently asked the seller ‘ Madam how much ?’ To my uttermost surprise, she ignored me for minutes until after I had asked for the third time. She then muttered an outrageous amount and added Banana don cost ’, walking in and out of her shop. Clearly, she was convinced she was doing me a favour by giving me the privilege to buy a bunch of banana! Fast forward a few hours l...
