According to ThisDay, Ogbeh who made this disclosure at a one-day public hearing in National Assembly on bills bothering on food security by the committee, said the consumption of poison from some food items everyday arose from wrong habit of processing and preserving such items. Serena William Toughest rival.

Image
PARIS — Serena Williams versus Serena Williams is supposed to be the internal conflict that decides Grand Slam tournaments in this long-running, top-heavy era in women’s tennis. But on Saturday, with the French Open on the line, it looked very much like a fair fight between Serena Williams and Garbiñe Muguruza. A tall and elegant Spaniard who is 12 years younger than Williams, Muguruza has serious stage presence: shoulders back and chin held high. She now has the major title to match, and with her handling the moment and Williams’s big-occasion aura as well as she did on Saturday in her 7-5, 6-4 victory, it is hard not to imagine her managing another such moment with similar aplomb in the near future. “We’ve been saying Serena always beats herself, but today maybe she didn’t play her best tennis but she didn’t play badly either,” said Martina Navratilova, the 18-time Grand Slam singles champion. “She lost to somebody who stood u...

The 34 year-old apprentice chef was arrested at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), Ikeja, in the process of boarding a Johannesburg-bound plane. She allegedly concealed the substance packed in two parcels in her brassiere. The drug was detected by a female operative of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) during passengers’ screening. NDLEA commander at the airport, Ahmadu Garba gave the suspect’s name as Lekganyane Lerato. Garba said “The suspect was intercepted during routine screening of passengers on South African airline. The drug was neatly concealed but certainly not good enough to escape our notice. She is currently under investigation and will be charged to court very soon.” The suspect said that she was lured into drug trafficking by friends. She said she “never imagined that the ...

Woman who scammed the Uk Govt Escape jail Term.

Image
A Nigerian illegal immigrant has avoided jail despite falsely claiming £50,000 in benefits to pay off the people smugglers who got her into Britain, MailOnline reports. The report reveals that Linda Okungowa, 36, of Sheffield, who arrived in the UK on a false passport 12 years ago, claimed the money in destitution and child benefits despite working under false identities. However, she has miraculously escaped prison sentence as she received a suspended sentence in an ‘amazing display of mercy’ after it emerged she had support from a church which was protecting her from committing more crime. The decision by Judge Simon Lawler QC came five years after Okungowa was sent to prison for eight months for using false documents to obtain work while claiming £70,000 in benefits. Okungowa arrived in Britain believing she would be able to train as a doctor, but instead became entrenched in a mounting debt cycle with the traffickers who helped her get in. She said the smuggle...

At a hospital intensive care unit, it happens that patients always die in the same bed at exactly 7am every morning regardless of their medical condition. This puzzled medical staff, so group of doctors, consultants and nurses decided to observe the bed in secret and waited for the faithful hour. Some held croses and prayer books to ward off evil influences or spirits. While the less superstitious ones held camera, table, smart phones, etc to capture every moment of this hour. At exactly 7am, the door to the ward slowly opened, Akpan the cleaner came in and disconneted the life support machine from the mains and plugged is Nokia phone charger to charge his Nokia 3210.
