When to break up a relationship.

This is a sponsored post. My first serious date was in 2004.I was only 22, in my second year at school, and a leader of some sort in school. However, the young lady in question was a far cry away from who I was or what I was supposed to be. She was brash, wild, but beautiful. I remember going back to Lagos to tell my mother,of blessed memory, about this girl.I showed her this girl’spicture. The only expression my wise mother gave was a scowl and then a forced smile. I got the message. My sister was the one who spoke up.She said, ‘George, that girl is not your type.’ I was annoyed but it was the bitter truth. I thank God that relationship didn’t work out.Knowing the kind of person I am, a loyalist, that relationship may have resulted in marriage. But after 3 years of struggle and pain and unfaithfulness from that lady, I had to walk away from it. Let me share with you some thoughts that can help you quickly know whether that relationship you are in r...

Sand And Stone;Hurt and good.

Image
Two friends decided to trek through a desert together. Some time into their journey, they had an argument, and one of them got so angry that he slapped the other in the face. The one who got slapped was hurt, but without saying anything, he wrote in the sand, “Today my best friend slapped me in the face.” They kept on walking, until they found an oasis. They were hot and dirty, so they decided to freshen up in the small pool of water. The one who had been slapped got stuck in the mire and started drowning, but his friend saved him. After he recovered from the near drowning, he carved into a stone, “Today my best friend saved my life.” The friend, who had slapped and saved his best friend, asked him, “After I hurt you, you wrote in the sand, and now, you wrote on a stone, why?” His friend replied, “When someone hurts us, we should write it down in sand, so the winds of forgiveness can blow over and erase it, but when someone does something good for us, we must engrave it in stone wh...

People that Turned weakness to an Assets.

Image
No one likes to be identified with weakness. We all want to be known for our strengths. Weakness makes us look vulnerable and it might be an obstacle to our dreams which is why it is not one of people’s favorite topics. What if you knew that your weakness is an asset; that it is an opportunity, a gold nugget, if you recognize it. What if you knew that your weakness saves people, makes you an authority and gives you the ability to empower others. Would you still feel sad being weak? There are achievers who have struggled with their weakness. Some of these people were rejected by society because they were termed  Weak . However, they did not dwell on their condition but turned their weakness into an asset.     centralasian via Flickr   Thomas Edison  During Edison’s school days, he was known to have a wavering mind; his focus was poor and he had difficulty with speech and words. Yet with all these conditions, Thomas became a prolific invento...

What does the Mustard seed Teaches you about Difference.

Image
The Mustard seed is so small and fragile and if you held it in your hand, you can easily squash it. This makes it look so insignificant and it is easy to place limitations on it. Strangely, this seed reveals a certain pattern of behavior in our world. There are people out there who feel just as little as this Mustard seed. They have looked at their outward appearance and don’t feel so good of themselves. Now here is the thing, if have you have ever felt as little as the Mustard Seed or maybe you feel so insecure and very invulnerable with the mindset that your life means nothing.  If you have allowed others to pick on you and made you feel so small or you allowed your thought to believe that your existence is just useless. Then it means there is something you share in common with the Mustard seed. However as small and fragile as the Mustard seed looks, it has a deceiving appearance, a great potential and it beats people’s wildest im...

Congrat to you as you clock +1.may the Lord richly bless you and uplift you.

You are a Unique personality.

I decided to let anyone know that he can make a difference in the world and does not need to be a celebrity or be on the public radar to be an inspiration. Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine as children do. It’s not just in some of us; it is in everyone. And as we let our own lights shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others. Story Mola.
