Front seat palava ooo.


Some weeks ago, there was an uproar on twitter about a girl who came online to talk about how she was with a guy, and because she was sitting at the front seat of the guys car, the guys girlfriend had to sit at the back. Why is this an issue? I'll tell you why in a minute...

This isn't the first time this topic is coming up on social media. The topic came up when this question below was asked and I've been wanting to write about this ever since the first episode.

So back to why it is an issue.

First of all, the lady sounded quite arrogant about it saying 'I made her seat at the back', in my opinion that is utterly disrespectful. And the fact that she had to announce her "front seat victory" aggravated a lot of tweeps. I usually keep quiet on controversial issues like this but like I said, I have been wanting to talk about this one.

In my opinion, it's all the guys fault.

You go to pick your babe up and there's a lady sitting at the front seat who isn't your sister, cousin, mum or aunt and you don't have the courtesy to ask the girl to sit at the back or at least, explain to your babe who the lady is and why she's there. I mean, it's just common courtesy and it shows you respect your partner. If you can't respect your partner in front of other people, how do you expect them to show your partner any respect? This story is a perfect example of this disrespect.

Some of you will probably say, "but it's not like they're married, she's just his girlfriend", and all I'll say is, the foundation of a house is just as important or even more important than the main house.

Most guys will say, what's the big deal, it's just a front seat, Oga! You need to understand now that in relationships, these little things matter, whether you like it or not, those small things that you may think are insignificant actually make a lot of impact, especially with us ladies.

Moral of the post, if you disrespect your partner in front of people, you give those same people the idea that they can disrespect your partner too.
