109 years old great granny celebrate her birthday in grand style.

Great-great-grandmother Annie, who is the oldest person in Hampshire and the 29th in the UK, was thrown a gig in her back garden at her house in New Milton.

Dog Ruff musician Chris Cooke, who performed for rocker Annie and 30 members of her family, said: "We do a lot private parties for people in their sixties and seventies but this is the first time we've performed for someone of 109.

Annie's daughter, Rosemary Allsopp, added: "She loves all types of music, particularly the big band stuff. She was a great dancer in her youth," she said.
