When you Don't Use the Right Colour.

Like...I truly hope I am not perceived as a vain idiot...but "the Lord laid a topic on my heart this morning"...😏 (the number 1 way to get the attention of a Nigerian woman 😜). Can we please talk makeup and personal hygiene please? Perhaps I am a little too petty, but mehn...I believe someone out there may need to hear it biko!

I was at a friend's wedding last Saturday. I concluded that 4 out of 5 women were wearing makeup that does not match their skin tone. Duracell battery tins. It is not sweet, it is not cute, it actually makes me want to vom in my mouth 😧. Eyebrows, eyeshadow looks...that's all subjective I think. If one prefers that harsh, angled McDonalds look, we can personally believe it sucks BUT one can choose how they wish they eyebrows to be shaped. One cannot choose their skintone unless they outright fiddle with the handiwork of the Almighty and that is BAD. Bleachers, take and feel shame.
YouTube tutorials keeping us current...noooobody fe gba last 😂but please bear in mind...your own yellow might not be as yellow as the youtube person you are following. Also, highlighting is getting out of control and it's getting on my flipping nerves. If you wear a MAC NW45/MaryKay Bronze 4/your foundation is not readily available in Boots, it is very likely that to set your highlight, you are better off buying Ben Nye TOPAZ...as opposed to BANANA POWDER. Don't let Kim Kardashian deceive you. That yellow face black neck look must die in 2015. It is actually not cute at all. Especially with camera flash and stuff. Looking casket sharp in your friend's wedding photos...is not the one. All it takes is one person that giveth no shits to take that picture and turn you into one sweet meme 😂 izz noh fun! You don't want your submission to become international banter ABEG!

Go to the stores and test foundations out. Seek the help of the people that work there, because for the most part, they can offer tests to work out what is best for you. Please  let us pick makeup as it fits us. May we be blessed as we do.
