Remedy to your puffy Eyes....

The eyes are the window to the soul and to our health. Eye bags or puffiness are irritating problems that can make you look tired and unattractive. These unwanted symptoms are caused by an accumulation of fluid in the delicate tissues around the eye, but in some cases hereditary factors are involved. After intense crying, lack of sleep and even a heavy night meal, puffiness is more obvious.

What can cause the accumulation of fluid around the eye?

  • Wrong use of the face cream. Avoid applying your cream very close to the lower lid. It will be absorbed and as a result lymphatic vessels will be blocked causing eye bags to become twice as big. To avoid this, apply your face cream at least half an inch away from your eyes.
  • Tobacco. Smoke irritates the eyes and causes fluid accumulation.
  • Lack of sleep. Getting enough sleep, at least 8 hours, will help your body detoxify.
  • Allergies. They cause tears, irritation and itching.
  • High fever. It causes dysfunction of the lymphatic system.
  • Too much sleep.
  • Heavy meals. It has been observed that a heavy night meal can cause puffiness, as the lymphatic system is blocked.
  • Not drinking enough water. Water is the driving force of the lymphatic system. You should drink at least 8 glasses of water a day.
  • Lack of aerobic exercise. Aerobic exercise stimulates blood circulation, which is interrelated with the lymphatic circulation.

Treatment

  • Light lymphatic drainage massage can be helpful in reducing fluid build-up and puffiness in the eye area.
  • Fresh air for detoxification of the body
  • Getting eight hours’  sleep, preferably on your back or side
  • Circular massage with ice, every morning for 2-3 minutes
