Kudirat the woman behind this ordeal has been arrested for allegedly torturing her stepdaughter, Rachael, inflicting injuries on her. Kudirat, a hairdresser, allegedly tortured the five-year-old for bed-wetting and disobedience. According to the report, Rachael’s mother died five years ago when she was three months old. She was said to have been under the care of the suspect, whom her father married a few years after. A concerned neighbour at their residence in Okeore, Atan Ota, in the Ado-Odo Ota Local Government Area of the Ogun state, weekend, was said to have reported the incident at the Onipanu Police Division which led to Kudirat’s arrest. Confirming the arrest, the state Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, DSP Muyiwa Adejobi, told the Punch that the case would be charged to court. Adejobi said, “The command has no tolerance for inhuman cases of such and will always fish out the culprits.” Kudirat, an indigene of Abeokuta, the state capital, reportedly told the police that she beat Rachael for being stubborn.
