A police Inspector simply identified as Gabriel who sustained serious gun shot following a shoot-out with some robbers at the Amukoko area in Lagos over the weekend, has vowed to go after armed robbers again when he resumes work. Gabriel who is attached to the Police Mobile Squadron 22, made the pledge at the hospital bed of Lagos State General Hospital, Marina where he is being treated for his gunshot wound.  “It was about 9:30a.m. on Thursday and we were inside the bank premises at the Coker branch doing our job. Suddenly, we heard people shouting that armed robbers were coming and we came out with our rifles and took cover, waiting for the armed robbers. 3 year old twins who attended a social gathering with their parents have died. The twins attended the gathering with their parents and older sister and after lunch were allowed to go play outside with the others kids present at the gathering, said the county's deputy coroner, Don McCown.  Ezekiel Marcengill  died a day after he was found in the bottom of a backyard swimming pool with his twin brother. His twin brother, Caleb Marcengill of Westminster, S.C., was pronounced dead Saturday afternoon after he was rushed to Greenville Memorial Hospital, . His brother, Ezekiel who had been on life support died Sunday afternoon.  Their deaths were ruled accidental drownings, according to the coroner's office.  At about 2 pm, the twins' older sister went outside and found them under water in the pool of their guest's home, she screamed for their parents who rushed to the scene immediately. A 20 year old British man, Michael Steven Sandford arrested at a Donald Trump rally in Las Vegas told the Police he tried to grab an officer's gun so he could kill the billionaire Republican presidential candidate.  The anti Trump protester who appeared in court on Monday, said he even went to Battlefield Vegas shooting range on Friday to learn how to shoot. He said he fired 20 rounds from a 9mm Glock pistol to learn how to use it.  Police detectives who visited the range spoke with an employee who confirmed that he provided Sandford shooting lessons on Friday.  The 20-year-old, who was carrying a UK driver's licence, was arrested at the Treasure Island Hotel and Casino on Saturday after going for a metro police officer's gun. As the controversy surrounding the wearing of Hijab to public schools in Osun state continues to linger, the state governor, Rauf Aregbesola, has denied claims that he ordered Muslim secondary school female students in the state to wear Hijab to school.  Aregbesola denied the claims while speaking at a public function in Osogbo, the state capital yesterday June 20th.  According to the state governor, the educational policies being initiated by his government had at no time insisted that female students must wear their Hijabs to their school. He challenged those accusing him of leading the state into religious crisis to present a video or voice recording, written speech as evidence that he gave the order to wear Hijab's in school.  “There is nothing religious in any of our policies.
